La Kooki Carbonic Blanc 2019

Tiny production – 44 cases only. Wild ferment, topped with chardonnay lees, used french oak. Lime and green apple skin, the carbonic doesn’t stand out in a white the way it does in a red. Succulnt and juicy, pure and fresh. A sprinkling of white pepper across summer pear, granny smith, and a mealy textured flavour across the top. PLENTY to love here. Palate is refreshing, coursing in rivulets across the palate. The acidity has an absolute ZING to it, it’s jolly and bright and full of bristling energy. It’s kind of nervous in a ‘first day of school’ kind of way…
